These terms apply when you create a RekordPlate account or use RekordPlate — the website at rekordplate.com, the web app, and the Windows, Android and iOS apps (together, “the service”). Please read them before you sign up. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

RekordPlate is operated by Devcity, registration number SP14842022, Maldives (“Devcity”, “we”, “us”). “You” means the business that holds the account, and the person who accepts these terms on its behalf.

1. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for your business. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.
• Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by the staff users you add. Give each person only the permissions they need, and keep passwords private.
• Tell us straight away at shaamiu@devcitymv.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.

2. Free trial

A new account may start on a free trial for the period shown on our pricing page. When the trial ends you need a paid plan to keep using the service. We do not charge you automatically at the end of a trial.

3. Plans, payment and renewal

• Plans and prices are shown on our pricing page, in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR). Prices Include GST.
• A subscription is paid in advance for the period you choose and lasts for that period. You can pay using the methods we offer at the time, such as card payment through a payment provider or bank transfer with a receipt we verify.
• If a subscription is not renewed before it ends, some or all of the service may be restricted until it is. Your data is kept as described in section 11.
• We may change our prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.
• Fees are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or we agree to a refund in writing.

4. Your data

The information your business puts into RekordPlate — menus, prices, orders, sales, customers, staff, expenses and the rest (“your data”) — belongs to you. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you, keep it secure, and meet our legal obligations.

If you record details about your own customers, such as names, phone numbers or delivery addresses, you are responsible for collecting them lawfully and telling your customers how you use them. We handle that information on your behalf, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

You can export your reports from the service at any time. If you need a fuller copy of your data, contact us.

5. Tax, invoices and records

RekordPlate calculates GST, service charge and totals from the settings you configure. You are responsible for setting them correctly, for the invoices and receipts you issue, and for your own tax filings and record-keeping.

6. Payments you take from your customers

If you take payments through the online store or connect a payment provider, the provider's own terms apply between you and them. We are not a party to any sale between you and your customers, and we are not responsible for refunds, chargebacks or disputes arising from those sales.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
• try to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or to test, probe or break the service's security;
• copy, resell or sublicense the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
• upload malicious code, or place an unreasonable load on the service through automated requests or scraping;
• create accounts with false information or on someone else's behalf without their permission.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep RekordPlate running and fast, but we cannot promise it will be available without interruption. We may need to pause it for maintenance, and we will try to do that outside busy hours and give notice where we can. Some apps keep working without a connection and send what they recorded once they are back online. Support is available through our contact page.

9. Changes to the service

We improve RekordPlate continuously, so features change over time. If we remove or significantly reduce a feature your plan relies on, we will tell you in advance.

10. Our intellectual property

RekordPlate — its software, design, name and logo — belongs to Devcity. Using the service does not give you ownership of it; we grant you a right to use it for your business while your account is active and in line with these terms. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Suspension and closing an account

• You can stop using RekordPlate at any time by not renewing, or by asking us to close your account.
• We may suspend or close an account if payment is overdue, if these terms are seriously broken, or if it is needed to protect the service, other users or the law. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you time to put things right.
• After an account closes or a subscription expires, we keep your data for 30days  so you can come back or ask for a copy. After that we may delete it, except records we must keep by law.

12. Disclaimer

We provide RekordPlate with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, without other promises about it being error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

13. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profit, revenue, business or data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

14. Your responsibility to us

If a claim is made against us because of how you used the service, your breach of these terms, or your handling of your customers' information, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we incur as a result.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Maldives, and the courts of the Maldives have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve it together.
